1. Running our long run of nine miles (still in training for the St. Jude Half Marathon in two weeks). This is our second longest long run...next week's tops out at ten miles while we are in Dallas visiting Nick's family.
2. We're currently half-way finished painting our bathroom. It was a flat grey-khaki blah color that looked dusty and dirty. When we're finished it will be a jewel-tone green, like the dark skin of a lime. Over the past several years my favorite color has officially shifted from blue to green. I have discovered my great love for green--it has so many beautiful colors in its spectrum. Anyways, the paint color choice is a bold move, but one that makes our bathroom look clean and modern. (We have white shelves and a white seersucker shower curtain that adds to the crisp feel.) Befores and afters coming soon!

Jesse, so so cute. I was just showing my new sis-in-law this post, making the comment that you are so good at this and normal people can't even begin to compete with you on this. Really I am so impressed, not suprised at all, just super impressed. So impressed in fact that I might steal your idea. How do you feel about this? I mean I live in Little Rock. I will give you complete and total credit because you totally deserve it!!!

Our front room is lime green. We're color people. Can't stand bland walls, but I get tired of the color I painted quick, which makes for a lot of work. ugh. I hate painting.
green would look awesome in your bathroom...it would help you wake up on those sleepy mornings too! woohoo...can't wait to see it!

Kelly, you are welcome to "copy" anything of mine and you don't even have to give me credit...say you thought of it! I'm sure it will have your own flair, which will be fantastic as well.
Let me tell you how I did it: (Of course there's probably an easier way...!) I picked out my favorite font for each letter and printed it on the computer. Then I put the printed paper over a piece of cardstock/bristol paper and took an exacto knife and cut out the letter. (You could maybe skip this part and just cut out the printed paper, but it might be too thin?) THEN, I put the cut letter on top of another piece of cardstock (cut to the size of my cheapo dollar store frame), and painted over the whole thing. After it dried, I peeled the letter off, put it in the frame, and voila! I know it sounds really crazy, but it only took a couple hours one rainy Saturday afternoon.
Angie, I hate painting too! The problem is, I always get these supposedly great ideas and imagine that I actually love painting. When we finally open the can and I put the brush/roller to the wall, I think, "Blech. Are we done yet?"

im jealous of your bed. we dont even have a bed. just mattresses. I think a bedroom suite should be our next investment...hmmmmmm. loove the color. its fab.
