The past couple days in Memphis looked like this:
(PS: Oh yeah, I'm finally hooked on the Twilight series. I know I'm late to the game, but I was saving it for a time that I would welcome the distraction of vampire love stories. And for the record, I was a little bored in "New Moon" (compared to "Twilight") but just waded through to get to the good stuff--is it coming in "Eclipse?")
What is the best book + surrounding atmosphere combo that you've experienced?

good stuff is coming. new moon was better when thought of in retrospect. though i do look forward to the movie.
best combo of atmosphere?
wuthering heights + rainy/cloudy/wintery weather and hot tea
I haven't gotten on the Twilight badwagon either, but I have borrowed the first book from my sis-in-law that hopefully I will read in the coming weeks.
i got into the harry potter series back in 2004, and i can remember reading "prisoner of azkaban" one night . i was on the final chapters, and the whole mystery of the book was starting to unfold. as i read, a severe thunderstorm formed outside. it was the perfect setting for what i was reading at that moment. i remember pausing to think: "this is so great!"
yeah she gets a little dull in parts. people are so busy singing her praises they forget shes kinda boring every now and again (LOTS). but she redeems herself. i love that pic above. that would be so cute framed in a house...
I am glad to hear that the rest of the series gets better. Loved Twilight, but was sort of bored with New Moon. I just made myself read the end just to say I did. I guess I should keep going?
