All is Calm, All is Bright

Here are the movie quote answers--good guesses, everyone!

12: The Family Stone
11: Little Women
10: Love Actually - VERY good guess, Julie!  (This is a super obscure quote, but a little British child says it and Nick and I think it's hilarious.  Because what British child DOESN'T sound adorable and hilarious?  "Charlie bit me!" for all you YouTube fans.)
9: Elf
8: The Holiday (Another British child quote!)
7: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
6: Home Alone
5: Muppet's Christmas Carol
4: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon version)
3: It's a Wonderful Life (It's both Nick's and my favorite movie of all time.)
2: Charlie Brown Christmas
1: A Christmas Story

BONUS: Obscure quote from the boy with the googles, standing in line to see Santa in "A Christmas Story."  He's not British, but he's still funny.

All is Bright:
Here is a picture of this year's holiday craft project.

Each year, I tape up the holiday cards sent to us above our mantle.  This year, I invested a whole $9.99 in a package of four cork boards, painted them, and secured them above our mantle.  The holiday cards are put up by straight pins this year.  And in the meantime, while we start out with only a few cards, the festive patterns show through!

If you're curious as to what I did with my pumpkins, I trashed them.  By the time I actually got up the craftiness to paint them (I planned red with white polka dots and green and white striped, to go with our other decor), they had started going bad.  That settled that.

All is Calm:
And I will leave you with a picture of tranquility in the Faris home...

This was the first sign of "cuddling" from Moses (left) and Owens (right)

The next day, look who initiated the cuddling!
(Owens is just now getting over an "only child" complex that lasted 5 years.)

End result.  Awww.
Also, look at the difference in head size between Moses & Owens.
Although Owens is the weird-looking greyhound,
Moses ends up looking like the huge lion-dog in this picture.  Ha!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the cork board card holders. I love them so much, can I copy? :) I have my Christmas card tree, but since I spent so much time punching holes and tying ribbons on last year's cards, I just left those on my tree! I needed something different to do with this years cards! You are so creative, Jesse!

Where did you get the boards?

Carrie (Blessed), yes feel free to copy, of course! I got my cork boards at Target in the home office section with the white boards, etc. But you can get them a lot of other places too, especially craft stores.

I am totally copying too.

The dog picture is of course awesome. You, my dear, should run and not walk to go see Marley and Me. Not as good as the book, but still greatness.

Merry Christmas!

He really does look like a huge lion dog! I love dogs with big noggins. I am the proud owner of a big-headed Boxer, myself and he is great. :) Thanks for sharing. Hope your Christmas was wonderful!

I need your help. You are all I thought of while training this morning. I have terrible blisters. I need some advice. I told you after Saint Jude's that I had changed my socks, learned about Gu Roctane, and learned to lance, along with zinc oxide and new skin. You were a huge inspiration!!!! I need your help. Will you e-mail me? martyhill24@yahoo.com

Your blister pics take the award but I have some pretty good ones. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks, Marty Hill
